Are you ready for a wild adventure of Jumanji ride in Chessington: World of Jumanji? If you are a Jumanji film and book franchise fan, you will love the new themed land at Chessington World of Adventures, opening in May 2023. The land features three new rides, including the only Jumanji ride in a rollercoaster, Mandrill Mayhem. Here are all the details you need to know before you visit.
Mandrill Mayhem
This is the main attraction of the World of Jumanji and Chessington’s first inversion coaster. You will be swept up in the long arms of a mandrill as the horde whisks you around the sites of Jumanji, all while dodging the hazards of the jungle.
The ride will launch you at full speed through the treetops, flipping upside down on a hair-raising adventure, spiralling to the summit of the 55-foot-tall Jaguar Shrine. You will glimpse the Jaguar’s Eye Jewel glow before falling and braving the experience again… backwards.
Mandrill Mayhem operates a virtual queue, which means you need to book a slot for free on the day of your visit using your smartphone. You can do this via the Reserve & Ride website or by scanning the QR codes located at the resort.
You will be notified when it is your time to ride and invited to enter the queue line within a set time frame. This will reduce the physical queue time and allow you to enjoy everything the resort offers while you wait.
The ride has a height requirement of 1.2m, and anyone over 1.95m tall cannot ride.

Ostrich Stampede
Ostriches may be flightless birds, but this will be a bumpy ride! You will swerve a herd of stampeding ostriches on this whirlwind trip. The spinning coaster ride will take you on a wild chase through the savannah.
The ride has a height requirement of 0.9m, and an adult must accompany anyone under 1.1m.
Mamba Strike
Black mambas are one of the fastest snakes, and when they strike – you better watch out! You will dodge the fangs on this dizzying, untameable ride. The ride is a drop tower that will lift and drop you down with sudden twists and turns.
The ride has a height requirement of 1.2m, and an adult must accompany anyone under 1.4m.
World of Jumanji-Themed Bedroom
If you want to extend your adventure, you can book a stay in one of the six new Jumanji-themed rooms in the Chessington Safari Hotel. The rooms are fully immersive and feature a tent for kids to sleep in, a Jaguar Shrine for grown-ups to nap at, and various animals from Jumanji nearby.
