Kerry Katona, the lead singer of Atomic Kitten, reveals in her new memoir, Whole Again, that she experienced a miscarriage in 2017 after divorcing her husband.
Kerry Katona, who became pregnant in 2017, has spoken up about the miscarriage she suffered.
Weeks after divorcing her husband George Kay, the singer discovered she was expecting a child with a struggling actor she refers to as “Mike” in her new book.
The mother of five had scheduled an abortion but afterwards cancelled it. Later, Kerry had a miscarriage and was threatened with a £20,000 lawsuit if she didn’t perform in India.
The former Atomic Kitten singer recalls feeling “the blood streaming down the inside of my thighs as I sang out Atomic Kitten tunes” in her autobiography, Whole Again.
I was transported to the hospital once more in this strange land, where I was informed that my unborn child was still inside of me and that her heart was still beating, albeit very, very slowly.
The physicians said there was nothing they could do. For a few days, I hung out in the hospital until they said there was no longer a heartbeat.
According to an excerpt published in The Sun, Kerry continued by saying she was “on the verge of miscarrying” before deciding to get an abortion.
Kerry continues: “I was already a mother of five, and my children were and are my entire world, so going against my every maternal instinct, I knew this child was not meant to be.
The TV personality said it was the darkest time of her life and that she still can’t bring herself to call the woman “my daughter.”
Kerry and Westlife member Brian McFadden have two daughters, Molly, 21, and Lilly-Sue, 19.
She has two daughters, Heidi (15) and Maxwell (15), with her ex-husband Mark Croft.
She married George in 2014 and got a divorce from him in 2017. They have an eight-year-old daughter named Dylan Jorge.
In 2019, George tragically lost his life to an overdose.
Having met and fallen in love with personal trainer Ryan Mahoney, the mother is now engaged to him.
Kerry just turned 42 earlier this month, and she claims she never thought she’d see that milestone.
She scrawled this in her robe while grinning at the camera: “WTF!!!! 42 today!!! After everything I’ve been through, I seriously doubted that I’d be able to pull through. Now I’m 42 years old and getting ready to publish my third autobiography.
