As a result of Got Talent’s massive success around the world, Simon Cowell reportedly secured a lucrative deal.
According to reports, Simon Cowell made an additional £90 million via a franchise arrangement.
He can now afford to maintain his opulent lifestyle on both sides of the Atlantic with a reputed net worth of £390 million.
The 62-year-old executive of a record company has apparently ensured the continuation of the massively popular Got Talent series, which airs in dozens of countries.
The Sun reports that an investment bank is willing to offer him the cash number upfront because of the success of the Got Talent franchise, which has aired in 69 countries to far.
After laying off nearly his entire Syco crew earlier this year to devote more time to his family, Simon struck this groundbreaking deal.
Somebody on the inside informed the publication: “As a result of his decision, Simon will have more time to pursue his interests.
“He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, but BGT and its American counterpart, America’s Got Talent, are his true passions, and he hopes to keep appearing on them for a very long time.
With this agreement in place, he will be able to capitalise on the success of Got Talent in nations all over the world.
Friends say Simon is also working on a secret music project they term “game changing,” in addition to the franchise.
He would only answer, “I am getting back in the music business with something I’m going to disclose shortly,” when asked by The Mirror.
In the United States, he is rumoured to be developing a show called 50 States of Stardom. A “combination of music competition and documentary to find America’s next best talent,” as the project is being billed, “.
Despite his demanding work schedule, he and his fiancee, Lauren Silverman, are planning to get married soon. They’ve been dating since 2013, and they have a kid together, Eric, who is 8. The couple announced their engagement in January.
The “proper thing to do” as their son matures, according to Simon, is to start wedding planning.
Recently, he gave an interview to The Sun in which he said: “I figured it was the responsible thing to do for Eric, as he will inevitably be asked more and more about them as he matures.
“I also couldn’t imagine myself in a romantic relationship with anyone again. To even consider going on a first date in this day and age is absurd.”
