Toby Alexander Smith, a villain on EastEnders, and Amy Walsh, a leading lady on Emmerdale, are getting engaged as per the reports.
Toby Alexander Smith of EastEnders just confirmed his engagement to Amy Walsh of Emmerdale in a touching Instagram picture.
Amy, 34, who portrays Tracy Metcalfe on the BBC soap, received a marriage proposal from 31-year-old actor Gray Atkins, who portrayed the villain on the show.
Amy proudly displayed her engagement ring in a photo the couple shared on social media, and they both wore big grins.
In the post’s caption, the words “So this occurred…” could be read. [infinity symbol, hands clasped in prayer, and a heart-shaped red emoji]
Amy also posted a series of images to Instagram of herself and her soon-to-be-husband on the night he proposed, labelling them, “Before. During. After.”
The pictures were taken on their Ibiza vacation as they sat down to a romantic meal as the sun dipped below the horizon.
Amy’s diamond engagement ring is prominently displayed in the final photo from her collection.
Amy’s sister Kimberley Walsh of Girls Aloud fame was among the first to congratulate the newlyweds in the comments on their Instagram pictures.
She responded to Toby’s tweet with, “Too exciting!!!! [six red heart emoji]”
After seeing her sister’s message, Kimberley remarked, “The best news.”
Michelle Hardwick, who portrays Vanessa on The Dales, was among the many soap stars to send their congrats. She simply said, “Gorgeous pair.” Other soap stars from Emmerdale and EastEnders also chimed in.
Lola’s TV co-star Danielle Harold wrote, “congratulations you guys xx.”
EastEnders’ Tony Clay, who plays Callum, reacted positively, saying, “Love this!” Well done, man! x”
After the January birth of their daughter Bonnie Mae, Amy and Toby are now engaged to be married.
Amy added, “Whenever we talked hypothetically about our family, we always said ‘our little Bonnie,'” when she revealed the name. Upon her arrival, she was the epitome of the Bonnie stereotype.
Toby joked that he was not the first member of the family to name a dog Bonnie, saying, “My parents had two King Charles spaniels and one was called Bonnie – but that has no bearing on it!”
Her middle name, Amy informed us, is Mae. Since both her given name and last name are Smith, we were looking for a single-syllable name that complemented both of her names.
